La Fonda Restaurant in Cabo San Lucas are lead by the Chef Christopher Chong the prestige chef for Hotel Solmar. When you visit Cabo San Lucas you have to come to La Fonda, because in this Restaurant you'll find a new colonial-themed gem serving authentic Mexican dishes, and wonderful surprises awaits. La Fonda has been carefully designed to accommodate families and couples. The smaller salon, a 32-seat non-smoking dining room is surrounded by the long windowed kitchen, bar, and deli, with beautiful tile accents, chairs and wood tables, a lovely three-tiered fountain, and wood-trimmed beveled windows facing a second dining salon and covered terrace. All Servers are dressed in Mexican clothing, all the decoration remind old hacienda. The Large Salon seats 48, with equipale-style dinning chairs and granite tabletops, cigar smoking is allowed in this area.
The speciality of the house is Carne en su jugo (beef in its juice), also served with beens and pieces of chicharron (fried pork skin), chile, lime, onions, radishes and spicy green chile sauce. With fresh tortillas hot off the comal (for make real tacos).
The beautiful decoration isnt the highlights of La Fonda, the big point of this restaurant is the flavors of real mexican cousine.
